Responsibilities/Scope of Work:
- To develop, build, test and fine-tune small low-cost and efficient power-supply systems for low-load DC embedded-Linux devices. Both solar-powered as well as mains-powered battery chargers are in development.
- While the main focus is on low-cost and affordability, the systems must operate in the harsh outdoor conditions of rural India.
- We aim to set up a small manufacturing facility for battery chargers and Analog Telephone Adapters (ATAs), in Dharamsala. This position holder should lead that task.
Qualifications / Skills / Experience
- Good working experience with micro-controllers such as PIC and AVR and
their programming.
- Should be familiar with devices such as Dallas's 1-wire as well as mastering of low-power analog systems.
- Experience with DSP systems as well as low-level communications protocols, such as RS232, Ethernet, USB, etc - is a big plus.
