The SOS Vocational Training Centre (VTC), located in Selakui, a town in the Indian state of Uttaranchal, was established with the aim of providing Tibetan youth with a range of technical skills in various trades, ranging from IT to hospitality services.

AirJaldi and TibTec provided the collage, which previously could not get broadband connectivity, with a campus-wide wireless coverage - a task made somewhat easy by the presence of an extremely tall water tower near the college premises (not for the faint-hearted... see image).

As with the Kangra Polytechnic, the provision of connectivity was a first step for developing other channels of cooperation. In the case of the SOS VTC, AirJaldi will facilitate and help in establishing an IT Networking training center, expected to be launched by the summer of 2007.
